Method

  1. Heat ghee or butter and add cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves and cardomons.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic and fry these until light brown in colour.
  3. Add all other ingredients and stir well.
  4. Bring to the boil and cook in a covered pan on a low heat until all the water is absorbed and rice grains are well cooked.
  5. Serve it hot with yoghurt.
